2024 M4K Recap
This November, we were stoked to create a team for Mustaches for Kids (M4K) once again to raise money to support our programming. Thanks to partners like Ballast Consulting Group, High Point Barbershop, the Hampton Park Mens Club, On Three Photography, and TrailHead Creative, our team shattered our base fundraising record with an all-time high of over $80,000!
Over the last few years, we’ve worked closely with the team at TrailHead Creative to build an M4K team that sets the standard for all the incredible groups choosing to grow. This year, our team, “Growin’ on an Adventure,” continued rocking our awesome team logo while growing their mustaches for good.
Along with setting the standard for team branding and hijinks, we also increased our team enrollment this year, bringing the full weight of our community partners to bear. With 47 growers this year, we were able to focus on raising a lot of money for our programming and continuing to expand our community reach and impact. We’d love to take a second to thank every grower for their effort and support.
“High Point chose to participate in M4K with Beyond Boundaries because we saw it as a way to contribute directly to a cause near and dear to us. We see the impact that Beyond Boundaries has on the community, and we were honored to be a part of it for the past two years. We hope to continue the tradition yearly,” says Partner at High Point Barbershop Darren Brown.
Our M4k team experienced another remarkable first this year: prime-time coverage on CBS 6! Over the last couple of years, our shave day has become a big event, with High Point Barbershop offering free shaves to our growers, On Three Photography capturing the event, and TrailHead Creative organizing and executing it. This year, TrailHead also secured a TV crew from CBS 6, and we were able to jump-start our fundraising campaign with dedicated coverage during the six o’clock news!

“It’s pretty awesome to see our community come together. Staff, volunteers, participants, and board members are all willing to grow mustaches to help us continue running awesome events and trips,” says Shep Roeper.
We’re proud also to have received the M4k Wolf award- recognition for our recruitment and impact, for the second year in a row! It’s incredible to see how much the community wants to be a part of our team, and it helps set us up for success.
Thanks again to our incredible team and community partners for making this another great year of M4k!!
