Beyond Boundaries is a non-profit based in Richmond, Virginia specializing in guiding participants with disabilities, veterans, underserved youth, and recovery programs on outdoor adventures.

The mission of Beyond Boundaries is to offer individuals of all ability levels, no matter physical, cognitive, or economic situation, the opportunity to experience outdoor activities with the surrounding community.

We work with individuals of all abilities, and from varying backgrounds, in one of the most challenging and thrilling fields…outdoor adventure! Over the years we have seen first-hand the incredible benefits of the inclusive atmosphere that we provide, and it’s our belief that the more we adventure together, the stronger our community becomes.

Explore Our Programs

  • Fishing

    We take groups of all abilities on fishing trips around the greater Richmond area, targeting panfish, bass, and catfish.

  • Paddling

    Join us on the adventure of a lifetime! We partner with RVA Paddlesports to provide accessible whitewater rafting and kayaking trips.

  • Climbing

    Reach new heights as our trained staff and volunteers guide participants through indoor and outdoor climbing adventures.

  • Hiking

    Come explore with us! We offer tons of accessible hikes around all of the incredible trails in our area.

  • Adventure Club

    Adventure Club is a six-week-long adventure program focused on building outdoor skills like first aid, knots, camping, and more!

  • Boating

    We partner with Kingfish Boat Rentals to provide guided boating tours of the mighty James River.
