2023 Trailblazer Awards

Every year, our staff and board meet to conduct a retrospective and reflect on the past year. As part of this process, we internally recognize our partners and volunteers and share our gratitude for their hard work and dedication. During these discussions, we vote on our Trailblazer Award recipients. 

“It’s important to highlight these individuals and organizations because they’re setting a positive example for inclusivity. Each Trailblazer truly lives and loves the Beyond Boundaries mission, and you can see that through their actions. Our Trailblazers make our adventures possible by living the values, even outside of BB programming,” says Katie.

Beyond Boundaries Trailblazers are partners and volunteers who have gone above and beyond and to dedicate time and resources to supporting the Beyond Boundaries mission. These individuals and groups are a huge part of our community and without them, our programming wouldn’t be what it is. Of course, we’re grateful for the support of every person who works with us, but we want to take a moment to recognize those supporters and volunteers who truly stood out and helped us have an amazing 2023. 

Our paddle awards are presented to exceptional partners as a physical memento to remind them of our gratitude. “I want people to see the paddles and remember how much we appreciate their support and shared passion for the Beyond Boundaries mission,” says Shep.

“For us, it’s a no-brainer to do everything we can to support Beyond Boundaries. Their values are aligned with our own and it’s important to us to create a more inclusive and equitable outdoor space for everyone,” says James Moffitt, Founder of TrailHead Creative.

We’re honored to work with partners who want to make a change in their communities. “Overall, our decision to volunteer at Beyond Boundaries is driven by their impactful mission and the chance to positively affect the lives of others in our community and promote inclusivity,” says On Three Photography.

From small businesses to other nonprofit organizations, it’s thrilling to see so many groups come together to support our community. “We value our relationship with Beyond Boundaries so much.
